4 new businesses accredited
A huge congratulations to our newly NIASA accredited businesses!
I’m thrilled to announce the latest businesses accredited under the Nursery Industry Accreditation Scheme, Australia (NIASA).
Well done:
This week, we featured the Driscoll’s team on our Facebook page. Check out the post (and don’t forget to follow our page for all the latest updates).
About accreditation
NIASA underpins the Australian Plant Production Standard (APPS) – a holistic system designed to ensure a sustainable future for the Australian nursery industry.
APPS is made up of:
- NIASA – the national nursery industry best management practice (BMP) program
- EcHort – the national nursery industry environmental management system (EMS)
- BioSecure HACCP – the on-farm plant protection and biosecurity program.
APPS is perfect for:
- production nurseries
- growing media manufacturers
- greenlife markets.

GIA Stakeholders’ Summit
I’m excited to let you know we’re holding the GIA Stakeholders’ Summit in Canberra on 16–17 May. The summit offers an unprecedented opportunity for the state association chief executives and board directors to come together over two days to better define our roles and responsibilities, and decide how our organisations can more meaningfully work together in the future.
I’m delighted that all the state associations will be represented.
Stay tuned for a summit update in our June newsletter.
