GIA Membership And Your Voting Rights At The Upcoming AGM
One of Greenlife Industry Australia’s member benefits is the ability to vote at the Annual General Meeting. Voting on matters that concern you and having ‘your say’ is a coveted benefit within any association
Who has voting rights?
Voting is open to current financial Business Members, Association Members and Life Members of Greenlife Industry Australia.
At the first Annual General Meeting for Greenlife Industry Australia on 2 December 2020, Members will vote to elect two Directors, as the organisation enacts the first constitutional director rotation.
During the July Board Meeting, all GIA Directors demonstrated their commitment to the important work of the peak body indicating their firm desire to remain on the national Board. Life Member and scrutineer Gary Eyles was appointed to fairly and independently draw by lot the directors who would voluntarily retire to commence the rotation.
The vacancies were widely advertised and GIA received eleven nominations during the call which closed on 23 October. Following a comprehensive assessment of the nominees, the Board Nomination Committee of Life Members Russ Higginbotham and David Matthews together with current sitting Director Davina Boyd, endorsed a pool of three candidates to stand for election.
