Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show 2017

Now in its 22nd year, the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS) is the Southern Hemisphere’s largest annual horticultural event.

Last year the show saw over 80 0000 visitors descend upon Carlton Gardens over the course of five days to visit the famous landscape and floral displays, as well as the hundreds of exhibitors.

One of the main drawcards for visitors each year to this event are the Show Gardens. This attraction is further bolstered by coverage via Channel 7s Better Homes & Gardens on the Friday evening of the show.

This year will see Charlie Albone create a show garden after two consecutive Silver-Gilt Medals at the Chelsea Flower Show. Other designers showcasing their work include AQL Landscapes, Phillip Withers Landscape Design, Cycas Landscape Design, MPF Garden Company, Waddell Landscapes, Candeo Design, Tract Consultants and the Tree & Shrub Growers Victoria.

The City of Melbourne are also set this year to create two tree woodland installations as part of their Urban Forest initiative.
MIFGS is also a great time to network with your colleagues within the industry, with many visiting from interstate. Below are some industry events taking place during the show that you may find of interest:

If you are a retailer visiting from interstate you can also register for the Revealed Media Night (media and retailers only) on the evening of Wednesday 29 March within the NGIV Precinct (B02) 5:30pm – 7:30pm email for details and to RSVP.

Industry Celebration Evening
