Perth Production Tour
Tuesday 3 March 2020, Departs 8.15am

Departing The Westin at 8.15am, delegates will head south to visit Richgro, proudly Australian owned and operated by the last four generations of the Richards’s Family and accredited under the industries FMS program. You will hear from Greenlife Industry Australia Life Member Geoff Richards about the commercial media business and their ‘Waste to Energy’ strategy and enjoy morning tea before departure.

Delegates will benefit from an ‘In Transit’ Photography Workshop by Venture Photography Workshops & Tours. While in transit, the photographer Dale Neill will provide expert tips and advice on how to maximise your mobile device in capturing imagery for business marketing. Whether it is to capture content for social media or quality plant images for catalogues and websites, mobile devices can deliver.

The tour will leave Jandakot for Benara Nurseries, Forrestdale, a trademart servicing southern regions of Perth. The wholesale site features an extensive range of high-quality plants, from seedlings, ornamental, exotic and native shrubs and trees, through to advanced trees.

The final stop before lunch is The Seedling Factoryin the dominant supplier of seedlings into the Western Australian vegetable, rehabilitation, forestry and ornamental markets. A sub-division of the Winterbourn Group since 2012, the forty-acre site produces fifty million seedlings per year.

You will farewell your photography facilitator at The Camfield, your lunch venue. Located on the picturesque banks of the Swan River on Burswood Peninsula it is also the nearest neighbour of your next site visit of Optus Stadium Park. The precinct design reflects Perth’s unique culture, utilises the nearby Swan River and acknowledges the site’s Aboriginal heritage.

Grab a piece of fruit if you are peckish, on the way to your final stop on the tour, Kings Park Botanic Gardens Nursery. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the nursery and seed bank, and learn about the research and breeding programs.

Delegates will arrive back at The Westin at approximately 5.30pm for the opening of the exhibition, collection of conference registration and welcome drinks.

Perth Retail Tour
Tuesday 3 March 2020,Departs 8.00am

Departing The Westin at 8.00am, buses will head to Subiaco for the retailer - Garden Elegance. Providing diverse greenery including trees, shrubs, seedlings, roses, citrus trees, hedging, seeds and herbs Garden Elegance, a uniquely positioned retailer which has creatively maximised their unique retail space since 1975.

Delegates will benefit from an ‘In Transit’ Photography Workshop by Venture Photography Workshops & Tours. While in transit, the photographer Michelle Power will provide expert tips and advice on how to maximise your mobile device in capturing imagery for business marketing. Whether it is to capture content for social media or quality plant images for catalogues and websites, mobile devices can deliver.

Morning Tea will be served in the garden at the award winning Zanthorrea Nursery, a family-owned garden centre located in the tranquil hills of Perth. Specialising in Australian natives, this accredited nursery sells over 600 varieties of Australian plants. Leave Maida Vale.

You will then and head for Guildford Town Garden Centre. Operating in the community for over 26 years, this Waterwise Accredited business specialises in ornamental and fruit trees including rare, unusual and bare rooted varieties as well as stocking an interesting range of giftware and garden art.

Grab a piece of fruit on bus if you’re peckish, on your way to Miaflora Garden Centre & Gift Shop, the last stop before lunch. Stocking a range of traditional cottage plants, water wise succulents and natives and lush indoor foliage Miaflora also features some amazingly beautiful products from local designers.
