Market Research is commissioned by Industry to gain an understanding of the size and value of the industry.  It allows us to segment the market and track trends to give growers, retailers and allied traders an insight into the needs and desires of their customers. 

In 2012 NGIA commenced a new market research project collecting data from greenlife producers, growing media and allied traders. This research will give Industry and individual participants reliable information about the environment they operate in and provide accurate statistics on Industry not captured before.

In 2010 & 2011 NGIA subscribed to the LOHAS Research (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) and Green Marketing to gain understanding of the segments and key drivers of Australian consumers for green and environmental products. This research aligned with thinking and positioning of the industry campaign "Improve your Plant/Life balance"
