Nursery Fund Annual Report now available

Hort Innovation has released its 2022/23 Annual Report and accompanying 2022/23 Fund Annual Report for the 37 horticulture industries it manages.
This report provides an overview of the activities and achievements that have contributed to the growth and success of our nation's horticulture sector throughout the financial year.
Key findings from the Nursery Fund Annual Report include:
- · $2,797,904 was invested in research and development (R&D)
- · $887,626 was invested in marketing
- · $2,936,110 in levies was collected by the government and passed on to Hort Innovation for investment.

Nursery sustainability – undertaking a lifecycle assessment (NY22001) |
The project team is developing a nursery industry benchmarking tool for nursery growers to compare their environmental performance against industry benchmarks, allowing individuals and the sector to understand the environmental impact of their supply chain and improve their performance. |

Validating water disinfestation systems in nursery production (NY21002) |
Currently in the initial stages, the project compares current and alternative irrigation water disinfestation methods to provide the nursery industry with guidelines on their use. The project is welcoming contributions from anyone involved in the industry. You can participate by completing a 15-minute survey. Nursery industry communications program (NY22000) |
This project centres on a renewed industry communications program designed to raise awareness about the levy. The program delivers e‑newsletters, podcasts, case studies, nursery papers and more. |
